FogasHáz and Instant were already defining nightlife destinations in Budapest, but after joining forces in March 2017, they officially became the largest party place in town. Akácfa utca had long been the home of the FogasHáz, its name (‘House of Teeth’) derived from a century-old sign advertising denture repair found during the initial renovation. This entrance now leads to a complete ruin-bar empire. Inside, several rooms can accommodate unplugged performances, mainstream hits, banging rock and classic hip hop. Instant previously occupied a well-appointed cellar across town and brought its own bohemian style. Lärm buzzes with electronica, FRAME pounds out thumping bass sounds, Robot goes in for rock disco, Unterwelt has R&B and Liebling is multifunctional. There should be something for everybody, every night of the week.
